About this Artist:
Over time hip-hop music has evolved, giving a voice to communities around the country. Young, old, black, white, rich, disenfranchised or privileged, if the people exist there’s probably an artist that speaks on their behalf. If not,…one is coming. Hendrix Law’s music comes to push the limits of hip-hop. Showing what it can be, without restriction, when you the music comes from the soul, unfiltered. Thoughtful and thought provoking. As cool and clean as Hendrix Law’s demeanor, but as real and gritty as the life he’s lived and witnessed in the cities of North Carolina. His music fuses hip-hop, R & B and rock, to provide a well-thought blend reflective of the emotion he expresses in each track. “When you make music that comes straight from raw emotion, it gives people, all people, something they can relate to.” As you listen to Hendrix Law’s music you will hear stories of pain and pleasure. Tracks like “City Lights” and “Look Back” speak of the daily struggles we all face and how we try to overcome them. Tracks like “Better” and “Uh Uh Uh” go to the raw intense emotion caused by anger or rising to meet a challenge. While tracks “That Effect” and “What I Gotta Do” have a smooth yet passionate approach to intimate relationships. And to make sure you have a good time just play the infectious hit single, “Put it on my tab”…And just when you think you have got him figured out, you see that he has come to change the game, not fit the mold.
How this name was chosen:
I have always thought Hendrix would be the name of my first born child, and my music now is like my baby. I put everything into it, and it embodies years of hard work and sacrifice. Law because I live by a code I am willing to die by. Law is symbolic of the morality and balance that I always try to keep a part of my music.
Online Performance:
I like live shows. I used to do a lot of spoken word. I really like more intimate venues.
